This tough, sturdy sloop was a familiar sight racing off Cowes for four years, but she didn't fit out for the 1963 season as Max Aitken then had his new yacht Outlaw.

Designed by Ray Hunt and built by Clare Lallow, she originally had twin centreboards, one in either bilge.  They were subsequently discarded in favour of a single plate on the centreline.

She was always raced hard and, in the photo on the right she's carrying a 'rainbow' cut genoa below the spinnaker with two mitre seams to the foot and the leach at right angles.  The idea was to control stretch in the belly of the sail.
