Designed by Vrolijk, it is believed that Aguila was built for the then Crown Prince of Spain (from 2014 King Felipe VI).

She is the smallest in the Quarter Tonner fleet, but has been raced successfully by Mr Laidlaw in the Spring Championships, the Irish Quarter Ton Sovereign's Cup, the Quarter Ton Cup and the Vice Admirals.
