A.E. Guinness bought two anti-submarine Motor Launches which had been built by Levis in Quebec;  ML 575 was renamed Amo; ML 482 became Amo II.

It seems likely that Amo may eventually have been used for spare parts for Amo II and may now lie submerged at Cong.

The name Amo (Latin I love) is derived from the initials of his daughters, Aileen, Maureen and Oonagh
