Cetonia
was built in 1873 for Mr W Turner and was later acquired by Sir Edward Guinness (later to become Lord Iveagh).
She was built by M Ratsey at Cowes (back in the days when Ratsey was a boat builder as opposed to a sailmaker).
She rated 156.54 feet and set 9,300 sq ft of canvas. She wasn't an outstanding racing yacht, but she was a very great ship.
Lord Iveagh replaced her with a namesake yacht which carried the name for 35 years.
