Intended for making fast passages from London to Belgium and also for visiting the Mediterranean, Tindor was an economical and simply-equipped motor yacht built of light alloy.

Although 50 feet long and with a TM of over 30 tons, her displacement was an incredible 8 tons.  This enabled the twin 100 hp engines to give her a top speed of 17/18 knots, and an economical speed of over 16 knots.

The acommodation was arranged to provide berths for two crew forward, followed by a three-berth cabin for two children and an adult.  Moving aft, the galley and bathroom come next, with a large deckhouse providing good visibility forward for the helmsman.  An owner's double stateroom was right aft.  The engines, and fuel and water tanks were under the deckhouse.
