Designed by David Boyd, the photograph below shows Marylette racing in the British-American Cup in the US in 1953.  She was only 2 weeks old at the time and had yet to find her form.

The photo on the right shows her on 7 August 1958 competing in the International 6 Metre race in which she came second, behind the RTYC Syndicate's Royal Thames
