The photo opposite shows the great racing cutter with an almost perfect set to her main and the jack-yard topsail as well as three beautifully setting jibs.  She must be doing all of 13 knots.
The spinnaker boom stowed on the lee deck stretches all the way from the main companionway to the heel of the bowsprit, a distance of about 60 feet.
