She is one of the original class started in 1897. Very much a museum piece with wooden spars and canvas sails. She was built in 1899. The class was sold off in 1936 to be replaced by the Charles Nicholson designed new fleet of 20.

Peter Andreae's father had the old No 3 Prawn and then built the new No 3 Prawn which is still (2016) owned by Peter's brother.
