In 1919 he acquired the third of the same name, this one an 80 foot schooner-rigged steam yacht built by W White & Sons of West Cowes in 1895 for a Captain J H Anderson. She had originally been called
Perlona
, but Colonel Crichton changed her name when he acquired her from her then owner, K E Lee Guinness. He also removed the steam machinery and installed a 6 cylinder paraffin motor.
As he was only elected in 1919, this
Chimæra
is the only one of the three to be on the Squadron List, but the other two have been included for the sake of completeness and to avoid confusion between yachts of the same name.
