The painting reproduced here is hanging in Bedroom 12.  It shows an incident in mid-Channel on 21st of August 1882 when the yacht lost a man overboard.  At the time she was running under whole mainsail and squaresail at 11½ knots, canvas was taken off, the yacht hove to, the man picked up and the yacht went on her course again in 31 minutes.

A pair of saluting cannon (illustrated below) from Golden Fleece are on either side of the entrance from the Hall onto the Platform.
