Commodore the Hon. Michael Cochrane OBE is a retired Royal Navy
Officer. He circumnavigated the globe in the Royal Yacht Britannia for the Royal
Tours of Australia and the Pacific Islands, and was subsequently the Captain of
HM Ships Brecon, Somerset, and Chatham. For his last appointment he
commanded a flotilla of 46 ships, ranging in size from Aircraft Carriers to Patrol
Boats, many of which were deployed worldwide.
