George Frederick D'Arcy Lambton was born in 1828 and died in 1879.

He married Lady Beatrix Francks Hamilton, the daughter of the 1st Duke of Abercorn, in 1854 and they had 13 children.

Lady Durham died aged 35 only days after the birth of her last child.

Their seventh child, Lady Katherine Frances Lambton, married the 10th Duke of Leeds who was the RYS Commodore 1920-1926.
