The grandfather of Maldwin A C Drummond (RYS Member 1957-?), E A Drummond's claim to fame is that, as Officer of the Watch in HMS Daedalus in the South Atlantic, he and his Captain both sighted a sea serpent.  Because of the seniority of the two who saw it, this is still regarded as one of the most reliable sightings.
