Captain Rawdon Maclean Was wounded whilst serving as midshipman on board the Colossus 74, Captain James N. Morris, at the memorable battle of Trafalgar. He was made a lieutenant on the 7th July, 1806; and promoted to his present rank, whilst serving as first of the Gloucester 74, Commodore Sir Edward W. C. R. Owen, on the West India station, July 1st, 1823.
