Walter George Stopford (18 September 1855 - 18 December 1918) was the fourth son (third son from the second marriage) of James Thomas Stopford, the 4th Earl of Courtown.

He entered the Navy on 5 January 1870.

He married Florence Mary Baker, daughter of the Hon Loran E Baker MLC, of Beacon House, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on 11 January 1893.  She died on 12 October 1950.

He was the ADC to King Edward VII 1906-07.
