Captain Henry Graham Sherbrooke RN (1878-1940), from a distinguished Nottinghamshire family, was awarded the DSO for his part in the Battle of Nahr-al-Kalek on the River Tigris in February 1917. He was the father of Rear Admiral Robert St Vincent Sherbrooke VC (RYS 1958-1965).

He was born in Edinburgh, the son of Commander Sherbrooke, R.N..

He was promoted to Lieutenant on 31 December 1899, Commander on 31 December 1911, and Captain on 30 June 1918.

Sherbrooke was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Highflyer in August 1918, and retired at his own request on 6 July 1922.
