Captain (retired) Robert Amcotts Wilson, D.S.O., R.N. (25 June, 1882 – ) served in the Royal Navy. His middle name may be Amcott.
Wilson passed out of Britannia in December, 1897 with the lowest score of the sixty-four cadets who passed out, with 989 marks.
Wilson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1903.
After being superseded in command of the destroyer Sheldrake, Wilson was appointed for training in "Airship Work" in March 1913. In June he was assigned to Airship No. 4 as Flying Officer. On 1 October 1913 he was made a Flight Commander.
