Vice-Admiral Peter Dawnay, K.C.V.O., C.B., D.S.C. (14 August, 1904 – 1989) served in the Royal Navy.
Born in Paddington.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1927.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1935.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1940.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1946.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 January, 1956.
Dawnay was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 7 January, 1959.
Retired 1 February, 1962.
