Rear-Admiral Clarence Dinsmore Howard-Johnston, D.S.C., D.S.O., C.B. (13 October, 1903 – 26 January, 1996) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Howard-Johnston was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1925.
Howard-Johnston was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 December, 1933.
Howard-Johnston was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1937.
Howard-Johnston was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1943.
Howard-Johnston was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1953.
Retired 1 July, 1955.
