Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow of Belton was born on 25 March 1936. He is the son of Peregrine Francis Adelbert Cust, 6th Baron Brownlow of Belton (1899-1978) and Katherine Hariet Kinloch (d.1952). He married Shirlie Edith Yeomans (b.1937), daughter of John Paske Yeomans and Marguerite Watkins, on 31 December 1964.
