Sir Ralph St George Claude Gore, 10th Baronet, was born in Brisbane, Australia in 1877 and died in the Isle of Wight in 1961.

Apart from being Vice Commodore and then Commodore of the Squadron, he was a Major in the Westminster Dragoons, a Lieutenant in The Royals, and President of the Royal Yachting Association in 1945.

He married Elsie Vaughan Grigg whose family lived in Buenos Aires in 1905.  She died in 1942, and St George then married Beatrice Mildred Denison in 1943.

His son, Ralph St George Brian Gore of Gore Manor was born in 1906 and became the 11th Baronet on the death of his father.  He was elected into the RYS in 1948 and remained a member until 1973.

The 10th Baronet was on the Yachting Committee twice - firstly between 1932 and 1935, and then from 1958 to 1959.
