Percy Florence Shelley was the son of the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, and was called Florence because that is where he was born in 1819.  He inherited his title in 1822.
He was one of three Shelley Barotnetcies, this one of Castle Goring, a title now held by Viscount de Lisle, 10th Baronet.
He was High Sheriff of Sussex in 1865.
He died in 1889.
